Position Overview

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for entering patient demographic and insurance information and ensuring that changes to patients’ insurance coverage are kept current. This position also facilitates the processing of patients in the clinic. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter new patient information into the computer system, including insurance and referring physician information
• Update patient information as insurance changes occur in systems and collect copays
• Use discretion and independent judgment in handling patient or physician complaints, document concerns, and forward them to the Site Manager
• Communicate information received from physicians, patients, or employees regarding the patient’s care or needs
