Job Description
- Full-time, ongoing position at HEW Level 8.
- Hawkesbury and Parramatta South campuses with flexible working arrangements.
- Salary: $120,754 – $134,051 p.a., plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.
Lead remuneration frameworks, reward programs and workforce insights that support leaders and employees across the University.
The Opportunity
You will serve as the University’s subject matter expert for remuneration, reward and benefits. You will develop and continuously improve remuneration frameworks, salary structures, benefits programs and performance-based reward initiatives that support workforce strategy and organisational objectives.
You will lead organisation-wide remuneration cycles, including review methodologies, governance frameworks, communication planning, system configuration, testing and implementation. Through market benchmarking, job evaluation and workforce analysis, you will provide evidence-based recommendations on remuneration strategy, equity and affordability.
You will provide strategic and operational advice to executives, leaders and People & Culture colleagues. Working closely with finance, payroll, workforce planning and HR systems teams, you will ensure remuneration practices are equitable, market-aligned, financially responsible and compliant with relevant legislation, industrial instruments and University policy.
What Success Looks Like:
- Deliver transparent, well-governed remuneration cycles and implement outcomes accurately.
- Maintain contemporary remuneration frameworks, salary structures and job architecture.
- Provide workforce insights, equity analysis and reporting that support executive decisions.
- Ensure remuneration decisions meet legislative, industrial and governance requirements.
- Strengthen reward capability through trusted advice, education and stakeholder partnerships.

About You
- Degree qualification in Human Resources, Business, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and extensive relevant experience.
- Significant experience in remuneration, reward, benefits or workforce analytics within a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience leading organisation-wide remuneration reviews and developing salary structures, frameworks and governance models.
- Advanced analytical capability, including remuneration benchmarking, workforce reporting, Excel and HRIS or remuneration management systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience advising senior leaders and interpreting enterprise agreements, legislation and remuneration policies.
