Licensed Veterinary Technician
Animal Clinic of Kalispell is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.
We are looking for a versatile, client-focused technician who enjoys the variety and pace of a dynamic general practice. This role offers the opportunity to use your full range of skills—from providing excellent exam room care and educating clients to supporting procedures and collaborating closely with the medical team.

In this role, you’ll use your expertise to identify patient needs, anticipate the needs of the veterinary team, and help keep cases moving efficiently. Your contributions will play an important role in elevating the quality of medicine, strengthening the client experience, and ensuring thoughtful, compassionate care from check-in through discharge. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, assisting, and recovery
- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $22 - $28 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday. No weekends!

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Montana**
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Dental prophylaxis and radiograph techniques is preferred
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
- Accurate medical record documentation
- Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
- Client education and communication
**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
