Job Description
As a Waterpark Manager, you will lead the daily operations of our one-of-a-kind water park while ensuring a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for guests and Team Members. You will oversee Aquatics staff, maintain safety and certification standards, develop operating programs and schedules, and help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Do as a Waterpark Manager:
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop Aquatics Team Members while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
- Conduct Aquatics classes, training, and in-service training programs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor waterpark programming, schedules, and daily operations.
- Establish clear responsibilities and expectations for the Waterpark team.
- Ensure all lifeguard certifications remain current and comply with American Red Cross requirements.
- Implement and maintain department policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Analyze utilization data and operational information to support effective planning and decision-making.
- Conduct performance management, resolve conflicts, promote teamwork, and support Team Member development.
- Attend weekly meetings with department heads, supervisors, and managers.
- Conduct monthly department meetings and prepare operational reports.
- Prepare supervisory and accident reports while maintaining current knowledge of emergency and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate Waterpark inventory records and coordinate reporting with CFI and Westgate accounting departments.
- Monitor weather and other conditions and make safety-based decisions regarding Waterpark operations, including temporary closure when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Waterpark & Activities.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring as a Waterpark Manager:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 2–3 years of related experience and/or training in an Aquatics department or large resort program, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to recognize unsafe or hazardous conditions and respond appropriately and quickly during emergencies.
- Proven ability to multitask, meet deadlines, resolve conflicts, and lead a diverse team.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Florida driver's license to operate company golf carts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and lift or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work in wet, humid, and outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and sun exposure.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as business needs require.
