Job Description
Design and build high-performance, interactive data visualizations and dashboards using modern web technologies.
Develop DOM-based (e.g., D3, SVG) and rendering-based (e.g., Canvas, WebGL, WebGPU) visualizations based on use case and performance needs.Write clean, scalable code using JavaScript and/or TypeScript within frameworks such as React, Solid, or jQuery.
Structure and manipulate data using JSON to support dynamic, real-time visualization requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive test coverage, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, integration, and deployment.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain web applications in production environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
Partner closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to translate complex data into intuitive visual experiences.
Clearly communicate technical concepts, tradeoffs, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
14 years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Four years of additional software engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with experience building scalable, maintainable applications.
Experience developing web applications using modern frameworks such as Flask, Django, or Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience with data pipelines and data processing tools, including ingestion, transformation, and integration of large datasets.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, and product
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
