Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated System Engineer with practical experience in administering Windows and/or Linux environments while maintaining system security and compliance with organizational standards. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in operating system installation, configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, security administration, and automation through scripting technologies such as PowerShell and Bash.
Key Responsibilities
Patch Management
- Manage and deploy security patches and updates for Windows and/or Linux servers using tools such as Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), AWS Systems Manager, or similar cloud-based patch management platforms.
- Monitor patch compliance status and prepare reports to support audit, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with application teams, system owners, developers, and infrastructure stakeholders to plan and execute patch deployments during scheduled maintenance windows, including post-deployment validation and system health checks.
Operating System Image Management
- Develop, maintain, and refresh standardized operating system images using tools such as AWS EC2 Image Builder, AWS Systems Manager Documents, and related technologies.
