Your New Role
Perform lawn care services on residential properties in Northern New Jersey
Complete scheduled lawn fertilization, weed control, insect control, and soil treatment applications
Operate professional lawn care equipment, including ride-on spreaders and sprayers, push spreaders, backpack sprayers, aerators, and seeders
Assist with aeration, overseeding, lawn renovation, and seasonal turf care services
Mix, transport, and apply fertilizers and lawn care products according to product labels, company procedures, and New Jersey regulations
Follow treatment programs, application rates, property instructions, and scheduled service plans
Inspect turf for weeds, insects, disease symptoms, drought stress, irrigation issues, and other lawn health concerns
Report property conditions and concerns to the PHC/Lawn Department Manager or senior technicians
Maintain accurate digital service records for products, weather conditions, application rates, and completed services
Protect lawns, landscape beds, buildings, hardscapes, and surrounding property during applications
Keep trucks, lawn care equipment, product inventory, and storage areas clean and organized
Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance
Follow company safety procedures and correctly use required PPE
Communicate professionally with homeowners, managers, and coworkers
Participate in company training, pesticide licensing preparation, and continuing education

Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, grounds maintenance, agriculture, equipment operation, or a related outdoor field preferred
Experience with fertilizer application, pesticide application, aeration, overseeding, or ride-on lawn care equipment is a plus
Willingness to learn professional turf care, plant health care, pesticide application, and lawn treatment practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow written instructions, pesticide and fertilizer labels, application rates, and treatment programs
Dependable attendance, punctuality, and work habits
Ability to work independently after completing required training
Basic ability to use smartphones or tablets for digital service documentation
Professional communication skills when working with clients, managers, and team members
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to safely perform physical outdoor work in changing weather conditions
Ability to frequently walk, bend, lift, carry, and operate lawn care equipment throughout the workday
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work seasonal overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed
New Jersey Commercial Pesticide Operator or Applicator credential preferred but not required
Willingness to obtain required New Jersey pesticide licensing with company-supported training
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Education in turf management, horticulture, landscaping, agriculture, or a related field is a plus
