The role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team and support one of our largest clients. You will act as a key liaison between Business and IT teams, owning the journey of business initiatives from demand intake to delivery: understanding needs, analysing requirements, coordinating stakeholders and making sure everyone shares a common view of objectives, priorities, timelines, risks and expected outcomes.
This is a role for someone who enjoys sitting at the intersection of business and IT, bringing structure to new demands, and keeping initiatives on track from idea to go-live.
What you’ll do
- Analyse business requirements, processes and user needs, and translate them into clear, structured functional specifications.
- Review and validate requirements documentation, ensuring completeness, consistency and accuracy.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new demands assigned to the Domain, coordinating all relevant stakeholders and contributing teams.
- Consolidate and validate effort estimations for new initiatives, and prepare the information needed for prioritisation, decision-making and approvals.
- Maintain demand registers and tracking records, keeping them accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Owners and delivery teams throughout the lifecycle of initiatives.
- Monitor progress, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues; provide regular status reporting and escalate potential delays or constraints when required.
- Support business validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support the investigation and resolution of operational issues impacting the Domain, including impact assessments and follow-up actions.
- Identify gaps, risks and opportunities for process improvement, and document lessons learned.
- Promote adherence to established processes, standards and controls, and support management reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Functional Analysis, Demand Management, Project Coordination or related roles.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
- Good understanding of project and delivery lifecycles.
- Experience working with business and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with estimation, planning, budgeting and governance processes.
- Experience monitoring activities, risks, dependencies and delivery progress.
- Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and spoken.
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in banking, financial services or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting medium to large business initiatives and enterprise-wide programmes involving multiple stakeholders and teams.
- Knowledge of service management and operational support practices.
Soft skills we look for
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong organisational and coordination capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player who thrives in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
- Strong planning, monitoring and follow-up skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity and responsibility.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package, based on your experience.
- Private Health Insurance.
- Continuous Training & Development opportunities.
- Meal vouchers / Subsidized meals.
- The opportunity to work on critical, high-impact projects alongside experienced professionals.
Candidates should be:
- Authorized to work in the EU.
- Proficient in Greek.
- Willing to work on-site at our client’s location in [Athens].
