Demand Generation Specialist

Remote India Full-time

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Demand Generation Specialist based in India.

As a Demand Generation Specialist, you will play a key role in driving business growth by generating, engaging, and qualifying potential customers for a broad range of services. Working at the intersection of marketing and sales, you will execute targeted inbound and outbound campaigns that build awareness, nurture prospects, and create valuable sales opportunities. You will leverage tools such as HubSpot and Salesforce to manage leads, automate outreach, and track campaign performance. Through research, personalised communication, and compelling value propositions, you will engage decision-makers across diverse industries. You will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and business development teams to ensure a seamless transition from initial contact to qualified opportunity. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to pipeline growth while refining demand generation strategies in a dynamic, globally connected business environment.

Accountabilities

  • Lead Generation and Prospect Research: Identify, research, and target potential customers across new industries and strategic accounts. Build qualified prospect lists, profile target organisations, understand their business needs, and develop relevant value propositions to generate interest in available services.
  • Inbound and Outbound Outreach: Execute multichannel demand generation campaigns, including cold calling, email outreach, website inquiries, form submissions, and other prospecting activities. Engage potential customers through appropriate communication channels to establish relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Campaign Management and Automation: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and manage HubSpot campaigns, including newsletters, targeted industry outreach, and pre- and post-event follow-ups. Maintain email distribution lists and ensure campaign messaging, scripts, and content accurately reflect the intended positioning and value propositions.
  • Lead Qualification and Nurturing: Follow up with prospects responding to marketing campaigns and qualify leads against established criteria. Manage longer-term prospects through consistent engagement, identify their needs and interests, and guide them through the customer journey until they are ready for sales engagement.
  • CRM Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate, up-to-date lead and activity records in HubSpot and Salesforce. Track lead progression from initial contact through qualification, ensuring that all interactions, follow-ups, and relevant information are properly documented.
  • Sales Handover and Coordination: Schedule introductory meetings between qualified prospects and the appropriate sales representatives. Route leads according to established qualification matrices and prepare sales teams with relevant background information, engagement history, identified needs, and areas of interest to support a smooth transition into opportunity management.
  • Marketing and Sales Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, market research, and other internal stakeholders to identify target audiences, source leads, develop outreach materials, and align campaign objectives with business priorities. Support sales managers and directors with prospect information, customer research, and other requests as needed.
  • Campaign Performance and Optimisation: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across demand generation campaigns, analyse results, identify trends, and recommend improvements to targeting, messaging, and outreach strategies. Prepare regular reports on lead generation activities, campaign effectiveness, and follow-up requirements.
  • Customer Engagement Support: Assist with customer surveys, prospect communications, and the coordination of customer visits or meetings where required. Maintain a professional, responsive approach to customer-facing interactions and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Product and Service Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the organisation's services and solutions, communicating their value clearly and consistently to prospective customers. Stay informed about industry developments, target market needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Process Compliance and Security: Follow established procedures for CRM usage, marketing communications, data handling, and information security. Contribute to efficient, consistent, and well-documented demand generation operations.

Requirements

  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in demand generation, lead generation, sales development, business development, inside sales, or B2B marketing, with a strong understanding of prospecting and lead qualification processes.
  • Lead Generation Expertise: Demonstrated ability to research target accounts, identify decision-makers, build prospect lists, conduct cold outreach, and engage potential customers through inbound and outbound channels.
  • Marketing Automation and CRM Tools: Experience using HubSpot for campaign management, email automation, lead nurturing, and lead lifecycle tracking. Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for maintaining prospect records, monitoring activities, and managing sales pipelines is highly desirable.
  • Campaign Execution and Analysis: Understanding of multichannel marketing campaigns, email outreach, audience segmentation, follow-up workflows, and performance measurement. Ability to monitor KPIs, interpret campaign data, identify improvement opportunities, and communicate results effectively.
  • Communication and Persuasion: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects professionally, deliver clear value propositions, ask relevant questions, listen actively, and respond effectively to objections.
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Strong research, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Capable of gathering and interpreting information, identifying customer pain points, evaluating prospect suitability, and drawing practical conclusions from available data.
  • Organisation and Attention to Detail: Strong time management, prioritisation, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple prospects and campaigns simultaneously while maintaining accurate CRM records.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building: Ability to work effectively with marketing, sales, and cross-functional teams, coordinate activities across stakeholders, and ensure qualified leads are handed over efficiently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Windows-based computer systems, standard productivity applications, CRM software, and digital communication tools. Able to interpret basic reports, metrics, percentages, ratios, and graphical data.
  • Self-Motivation and Ownership: A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the confidence to initiate conversations, work independently, meet activity targets, and continuously improve prospecting and qualification techniques.
  • Adaptability and Professionalism: Ability to follow established processes, handle routine situations independently, respond constructively to feedback, and maintain consistent communication standards in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Language Skills: Strong professional English communication skills are important for engaging prospects, coordinating with internal teams, and documenting sales activities clearly.
