Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Ashland, KY (onsite)

An industrial equipment and service company is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician for its heavy repair facility, which rebuilds equipment for steel producers. You'd join the in-house team that keeps the shop's own machines and building running, with most of your time spent on planned maintenance rather than firefighting.

What you'll do

• Build and work PM schedules for large CNC machines, heavy welding systems and overhead cranes

• Troubleshoot MCCs, motors and machine electrical faults

• Handle building electrical in-house: outdoor switchgear, distribution panels and breakers

• Track down tripped breakers and power issues before they stop production

• Work safely around energized equipment under NFPA 70E and LOTO

What you bring

• 5+ years of electrical maintenance in an industrial or heavy manufacturing plant

• Experience at 480V three-phase and above, including MCCs, switchgear and building distribution

• A preventive mindset: you plan the work instead of waiting for breakdowns

• Range across both machine and facility electrical, not a single specialty

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to have: Journeyman electrician background.
