About the Role
Lyric is an AI-native decision intelligence platform that helps global enterprises replace siloed planning with connected, composable solutions. We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Supply Chain Engineer to join our India delivery team and build those solutions directly with customers.
This is a hands-on builder role with real autonomy. You’ll own projects and/or workstreams end-to-end, from the first discovery session through go-live, and you’ll personally build on the platform while leading customers through complex decisions. Our delivery teams are lean, so everyone builds. You’ll work with global teams and across departments, partnering especially closely with Product and Engineering, so what you learn in the field shapes what we build next.
What You’ll Do
Own Lyric deployment projects and/or workstreams end-to-end, from planning through go-live
Lead blueprinting sessions and technical design workshops, turning messy supply chain problems into concrete logic and model structures
Build on Lyric’s platform (Optimization Notes, Prediction Notes, Green Notes, and Next Gen App UIs), writing SQL and Python and configuring business logic as needed
Run meetings and manage the project plan independently, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and risk
Lead structured UAT, train customer teams, and serve as the primary point of contact for end-users through go-live and into steady-state monitoring
Apply AI tools as a default part of delivery: LLM-assisted modeling and configuration, agentic workflows for data prep and validation, AI-generated documentation and test scripts
Identify where AI and agentic capabilities can be embedded into customer planning operations, such as anomaly detection, AI-assisted demand sensing, and automated scenario generation
Share best practices with teammates to raise the knowledge and performance of our whole delivery org, turn recurring field challenges into reusable patterns, and close each project with a documented customer story
About You
5 to 12 years of experience in supply chain consulting, professional services, or SaaS delivery, ideally at a large systems integrator
Deep, hands-on expertise in at least one of our two practice areas: Modeling & Scenario Analysis (network optimization, simulation, capacity planning) or Planning & Execution (demand, inventory, supply planning)
Solutions you have personally architected and delivered, not just managed
Comfortable owning a project or workstream: running meetings independently, building project plans, and driving toward a timeline
Excellent global communication skills, a must. You can talk to engineers, operators, and executives, sometimes in the same meeting
High energy and high agency, also a must, with the ability to work in a large, complex client organization
Proficiency in Python and/or SQL is preferred
Experience with legacy planning tools such as SAP IBP, Kinaxis, o9, or Blue Yonder is a plus
Scope by Level
This role is open at multiple levels, and scope grows with experience. Supply chain engineers earlier in the range typically own a workstream within a larger engagement and build with support from a senior lead. Supply chain engineers later in the range typically own full projects, shape the solution design, and help raise the bar for the rest of the team.
Location
We’re hiring for this role in India, with a preference for Bangalore. All candidates must be based in a hub city: Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, or Hyderabad. Up to 30% travel is possible.
Compensation
Compensation is based on level and experience. It includes a variable component tied to individual and business performance, and you will have the opportunity to receive equity in Lyric.
