HR Specialist

Hybrid Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States

About the Role

Arthrex South Florida is building its HR function from the ground up, and we're looking for the right person to help shape it. Based in Fort Lauderdale, this is a hands-on role responsible for recruiting, performance management, and employee experience across our South Florida distributorship.

The HR Specialist’s responsibilities span recruiting, credentialing, performance, and employee engagement.

What You’ll Own

Talent Acquisition & Culture

You’ll own our recruiting process end to end managing the ATS, sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and making sure every hire reflects the kind of team and culture we’re building. Job descriptions are already in place, so your job is less about starting from scratch and more about keeping them sharp and accurate as roles evolve. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to understand what each team actually needs and make sure we’re bringing in the right people.

Rep Credentialing

You’ll support the credentialing process for our sales reps across the vendor management platforms our hospital and surgical facility partners require, primarily VendorMate, RepTrax, and Parallon. That means tracking expiration dates for background checks, immunization records, training completions, and liability insurance, and making sure everything is renewed on time, keeping our team in the field and our customers supported.

Performance & Feedback

You’ll design and coordinate our 360° employee evaluation process, build and maintain the review dashboard, and manage scheduling so reviews happen consistently and on time. You’ll partner with leadership to make sure feedback is tied to clear expectations, and you’ll help track performance trends across the organization.

Employee Engagement & Experience

You’ll help build and maintain the kind of workplace where people feel recognized, heard, and connected to the work they’re doing. You’ll manage employee recognition on social media and internal channels, help coordinate the day-to-day moments that make people feel valued, and gather feedback to continuously improve the work experience for everyone here. This role also works closely with our administrative team, lending support on tasks and projects where it makes sense. Flexibility and a willingness to pitch in where needed are a big part of how we operate.

What We’re Looking For

  • A go-getter mentality someone who sees what needs to be done and does it, works independently with confidence, and is genuinely energized by the chance to build something.

  • Strong organizational skills you can manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through without being micromanaged.

  • Clear, confident communicator in writing and in person with the discretion to handle sensitive conversations professionally.

  • Analytical curiosity comfortable reviewing compensation data and performance metrics to inform recommendations.

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or HR platforms is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • PTO
