Design I/O configurations, data structures and program architecture for new systems
Tie HMI/SCADA screens to PLC logic and set up tag databases
Commission on site: I/O checkout, loop tuning, testing and debugging
Work from P&IDs, schematics and panel layouts with electricians on wiring and sensors, and document everything for handoff
What you bring
3+ years writing PLC programs from scratch; Siemens strongly preferred
Equivalent from-scratch work in Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000, Omron, Mitsubishi or Schneider considered
Solid grasp of schematics, I/O wiring and control panel layouts
Knowledge of NEC/IEC wiring standards and LOTO
Comfort working on site with little supervision in a heavy plant
Nice to have: WinCC, FactoryTalk or PanelView HMI work; Profibus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP or DeviceNet; motion or safety PLCs; metals or heavy manufacturing projects.
