Summary
This role involves designing, developing, and executing test cases for automotive embedded systems using HIL platforms. Key responsibilities include scripting automated tests, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with automotive standards, utilizing tools like dSPACE and Vector CANoe.
We are looking for a skilled Test & Validation Engineer with strong experience in automotive embedded systems and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
- Design and develop test cases to validate automotive ECUs and subsystems on HIL platforms.
- Execute validation campaigns to ensure compliance with system requirements and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HIL benches to ensure smooth testing operations.
- Regularly update simulation models and test scenarios to reflect evolving system requirements.
- Develop automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Integrate test cases into CI/CD pipelines for efficient testing workflows.
- Analyze test results to identify issues in software or hardware performance.
- Provide detailed test reports, including test coverage, defect trends, and validation status.
- Validate communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and system interactions.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, OEM guidelines)
- Hands-on experience with HIL testing tools such as dSPACE, Vector CANoe, NI VeriStand, or ETAS.
- Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, FlexRay) and related tools.
- Strong knowledge of test scripting languages like Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with electrical and electronic systems in vehicles, including sensors, actuators, and ECUs.
- Experience in developing and executing validation test plans.
- Ability to analyze system behavior and diagnose root causes of defects.
