Kitchen Steward

As our Kitchen Steward, you’ll play an important role in keeping our kitchen clean, safe and organised, helping our chefs focus on what they do best.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, pans and work areas.

• Operating commercial dishwashing equipment and ensuring all items are cleaned to a high standard.

• Maintaining cleanliness across kitchen floors, storage areas and dishwashing stations.

• Supporting the kitchen team with the cleaning and organisation of equipment and supplies.

• Ensuring clean crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment are available when needed.

• Assisting with waste management and recycling in line with hotel procedures.

• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

• Working closely with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly, especially during busy periods.

You’re someone who enjoys keeping busy, takes pride in doing a job well and understands the importance of being a reliable team member.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.

• A team-first mindset and willingness to support colleagues wherever needed.

• An understanding of workplace health and safety and hygiene practices.

• The ability to work independently while also being a great team player.

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as required.

Previous experience in a kitchen stewarding, commercial cleaning or similar role will be highly regarded, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
