Lead Folder Operator (Bretting Machine Preferred)

Pay: $30–$33/hour ($30 base, plus up to $3/hour bonus every pay period when production goals are hit). Realistic production goals!

Schedule: 24/5 or 24/4 rotation

What we're looking for

• 5+ years running high-speed folding equipment (tissue, towel, napkin)
• Experience operating Bretting folding equipment is strongly preferred but not required
• Willing to train others and help improve our performance
• Strong mechanical aptitude: you catch problems early and fix them fast
• Comfortable reading specs and holding product to target
• Reliable, on time and a solid team member

What you'll be doing

• Set up and run our high-speed folder (Bretting or similar) to hit speed, quality and uptime targets
• Make changeovers quickly and correctly, including fold, count and sheet-size changes
• Monitor quality, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues before they become problems, and be the go-to person on the line when something isn’t right
• Lead your crew on shift, keeping the line moving and setting the example for operators
• Train new and current operators and check that they’re ready to run on their own
• Write and improve standard procedures and training materials, and spot recurring issues to cut downtime, waste and changeover time
• Work safely, follow lockout/tagout and all policies, and keep your area clean
