Manager Transaction Private Equity (m/f/d)
YOUR TASK
As a Manager Transaction Private Equity, you will lead our transaction advisory projects for private equity investors. You will work closely with our partners and with deal teams on the client side. With your consulting experience, you have worked on transactions in the tech, fintech and SaaS sectors and know the pace and demands of a deal process.
You manage commercial due diligence projects from scoping to final report. You plan your team's work against tight transaction timelines and make sure the results are robust, well-founded and decision-ready. You will accompany our partners and principals to client and management meetings and keep the investor's investment thesis and key questions in focus throughout the project.
Look forward to diverse and challenging tasks, such as:
- Independent management of commercial due diligence projects for private equity investors in international transactions (focus: tech, software, IT services, industrial tech)
- Buy-side, sell-side and vendor due diligence, including preparing and presenting due diligence reports
- In-depth analysis of business models, market potential, competitive landscapes and customer positioning of target companies
- Validation of business plans and investment theses, and assessment of growth potential and key risks for investment decisions
- Support with equity stories in sell-side processes
- Identification of new investment opportunities through target screenings, sector analyses and market trends
- Preparation and presentation of results in red-flag calls, investment committee preparation and client meetings
- Leading, coaching and developing consultants in day-to-day project work in national and international teams
- Participation in business development: preparing proposals and pitches, and further developing our transaction services
- Cross-functional collaboration with international teams and experts for technology, data and operations
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- A completed master's degree in economics, finance or a related discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in transaction consulting, commercial due diligence, corporate finance or in the private equity environment, ideally in the tech or software sector
- Proven track record in independently managing due diligence projects and teams under tight transaction timelines (incl. budget and resource management)
- In-depth understanding of M&A processes, investment theses and the requirements of financial investors
- Excellent analytical skills, strong market-modelling skills and a structured, solution-oriented way of working, coupled with leadership experience
