Part-Time Golf Course Ranger/Courtesy Patrol

ELS is hiring for the position of Pro Shop Attendant in Plant City, Florida.

Expected Schedule:

Part-Time afternoon/evening hours. Must work weekends with two days off during the week.

What you'll do:

The Golf Course Ranger position may include walking or patrol of the Golf Course, answering questions, enforcing rules and ensuring the safety of our guests. The ideal employee can handle any stressful situation in a calm manner and react accordingly.

Your job will include:

• Customer Service- Patrol Golf course as needed. Make sure that Golf Etiquette is followed. Respond to golfers' questions, requests, concerns. Direct golfers around the course if they are unfamiliar with the layout. Inform golfers about course policies, and let a golfer know when he might be in violation of a course policy. If the opportunity arises, help golfers search for lost balls (or gently suggest they give up the search to keep the pace of play going). Try to mediate any disputes that might arise between groups.
• Assist in Pro Shop operations as needed

Skills & experience you need:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills and the ability to use computer applications.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Experience working in the golf industry, is a benefit.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
• Ability to working weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
