The Role

As a Managing Principal in Capco's Technology & Engineering practice, you'll lead complex, enterprise-scale data and technology transformation initiatives for leading financial services clients.

You'll combine a strong technical foundation with strategic consulting expertise and executive-level delivery leadership, helping clients modernize their data ecosystems, implement cloud technologies, strengthen data governance, and unlock business value through analytics and emerging technologies.

Working closely with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and senior business leaders, you'll shape transformation strategies, translate complex technology decisions into actionable roadmaps, and guide multidisciplinary teams through successful implementation.

  • Bridge Technology and Strategy: Apply your technical expertise to evaluate architectural approaches, challenge delivery assumptions, manage implementation risks, and translate complex technology decisions into clear business outcomes.

  • Advise Executive Stakeholders: Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and senior leadership teams, guiding strategic investment decisions, transformation priorities, and technology modernization agendas.

  • Drive Delivery Excellence: Lead multidisciplinary consulting and technology teams, navigate complex dependencies, establish effective governance, and maintain accountability for transformation milestones and measurable business value.

  • Grow Client Relationships and Capabilities: Lead major consulting engagements, identify business development opportunities, contribute to proposals and executive presentations, and mentor teams to strengthen Capco's technology consulting capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive Transformation Experience: Significant experience across data, technology, consulting, and enterprise transformation, including leadership of complex, large-scale initiatives. Typically gained through 12+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Strong Technical Foundation: Earlier hands-on experience in data engineering, data architecture, data management, analytics, business intelligence, software engineering, or related disciplines, with progression into strategic consulting or transformation leadership.

  • Enterprise Data Expertise: Practical understanding of modern data ecosystems, including ETL/ELT, data pipelines, cloud data platforms, data warehousing, data modeling, governance, analytics, and systems integration.

  • Executive Consulting Capabilities: Demonstrated experience advising senior executives, communicating complex technical concepts, influencing strategic decisions, and building trusted client relationships.

  • Transformation Delivery Leadership: Experience guiding cross-functional teams, resolving complex technical and organizational challenges, translating strategy into implementation, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience delivering major transformation initiatives across banking, capital markets, wealth management, payments, or other financial services sectors.

  • Familiarity with technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, Informatica, SQL, Python, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and modern data integration frameworks.

  • Knowledge of enterprise data architecture, master data management, metadata, lineage, data quality, and governance frameworks.

  • Experience shaping or delivering AI initiatives, including Generative AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics, supported by modern enterprise data platforms.
