The Role

As an IT Procurement Specialist at Lucid, you will support the sourcing and procurement of software, hardware, cloud services, and IT professional services. You will partner with IT, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Information Security to translate business requirements into competitive sourcing events, negotiated agreements, and timely purchases. Your focus will be on optimizing total cost of ownership, coordinating renewals, supporting supplier relationships, and maintaining compliance with procurement policies. Success means measurable savings, timely contract execution, accurate procurement records, and reliable delivery of the technology and services our teams need.

What You’ll Own

  • IT Sourcing: Execute RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for software, hardware, cloud services, and IT professional services, ensuring suppliers receive consistent requirements and proposals are evaluated against clear criteria.
  • Commercial Negotiations: Analyze supplier proposals, benchmark pricing, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms in partnership with category leads and Legal to improve value and manage contractual risk.
  • Contract and Renewal Management: Maintain a contract and renewal calendar, validate license and usage requirements with stakeholders, and coordinate approvals ahead of expiration and notice deadlines to avoid unnecessary spend and service interruptions.
  • Procurement Execution: Coordinate supplier onboarding, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice issue resolution while maintaining accurate records and following procurement policies and approval requirements.
  • Spend and Supplier Management: Track spend, savings, cost avoidance, and supplier commitments; identify consolidation and demand optimization opportunities; and coordinate resolution of supplier delivery and service issues.
  • Cross-Functional Delivery: Partner with IT, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Information Security to align scope, budgets, security reviews, and sourcing timelines, keeping stakeholders informed of status, risks, and required decisions.

What You Bring

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or purchasing, including IT software, hardware, cloud services, or professional services.
  • Experience supporting competitive sourcing events, evaluating supplier proposals, and negotiating pricing and commercial terms in partnership with Legal and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel for spend analysis, pricing comparisons, total cost of ownership evaluations, and savings tracking.
  • Working knowledge of supplier onboarding, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and contract renewals, with strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience with SaaS and enterprise software licensing, subscription renewals, usage-based pricing, and license optimization.
  • Familiarity with procurement and ERP platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent systems.
  • Experience coordinating supplier security and privacy reviews and reviewing service-level agreements and statements of work with cross-functional partners.
  • Experience in a fast-paced technology or manufacturing environment; procurement certification such as CPSM or CIPS is a plus.

This role is fully onsite at our Phoenix, Arizona site. Daily in-person presence is required.
