What this job involves:

As a Project Manager at JLL, you will lead the planning, design, construction, and handover of capital projects, tenant improvements, and facility upgrades in close coordination with the Applied Materials team. Operating on-site, this role ensures that all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with both JLL and client standards, with a strong focus on safety, quality control, and minimizing disruption to active high-tech business operations.

At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees. By managing complex projects in advanced manufacturing environments, you will help our clients achieve their goals while working in an environment where we choose to take the more inspiring, innovative, and optimistic path on our journey toward success.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead all phases of project delivery, including project setup, design coordination, procurement, construction management, and financial closeout.
  • Partner with Applied Materials stakeholders to define project scopes, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements, because we believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive.
  • Create and manage detailed project budgets, cost forecasts, and master schedules.
  • Direct and coordinate third-party partners, including architects, design engineers, general contractors, and specialty equipment vendors.
  • Implement and enforce strict Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols on all job sites, ensuring compliance with both regulatory standards and client-specific safety programs.
  • Manage change order processes, contract negotiations, and progress payments in alignment with JLL and client procurement policies.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, maintain detailed documentation, and provide progress reports to JLL leadership and Applied Materials corporate real estate teams.
  • Coordinate transition and operational readiness planning, ensuring facility management teams are fully prepared to take over the space upon project completion.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different regions to share best practices, demonstrating how what sets JLL apart is our culture of collaboration, locally and across the globe.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing commercial real estate, corporate tenant improvement, or industrial construction projects.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and multi-disciplinary vendor teams.
  • Proficient in project management software (such as MS Project, Procore, or similar platforms) and standard office productivity suites.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex corporate structures.
  • A strong commitment to job site safety and experience enforcing rigorous safety protocols.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working within cleanrooms, research and development laboratories, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or LEED certification.
  • A desire to embrace more innovative ways of working and prioritize opportunities to strengthen and advance your career.
