How do we work?

Hello Relationship Builders!

As our Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue by the onboarding, retaining and reactivation of High-Value Clients (HVC). This will involve not only providing exceptional service to our existing clients but developing and growing a book of top tier clients through referrals and reactivation of dormant accounts. The role requires candidates to build strong relationships with clients as well identifying opportunities to grow new business. A large part of these sales activities will take place over telephone calls and via emails to prospective and existing clients.

You will be based out of Chicago while collaborating closely with our dedicated client-facing team located in Toronto.

We work in a hybrid model-we’d love to meet you in our Chicago / New York office 2–3 days per week with respect to your own commitments.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop a pipeline of High-Value Clients from prospective leads and convert existing clients to HVCs status.
  • Engage clients with the full suite of OANDA products while educating them about the markets and leveraged trading.
  • Grow trading volume and assets under management for high-value clients and potential high-volume clients.
  • Proactively engage in outbound client communications and manage inbound communications on product, regulatory and account related updates.
  • Identify initiatives to assist in achieving business goals, meet or exceed all assigned key performance indicators (KPIs) as well as add value to the team success.
  • Work closely with the new account department to ensure a smooth on-boarding process for new HVCs.

What skillset do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Min. 3 years of outbound sales, client retention, or account management experience within financial services, brokerage, or another heavily regulated sector, but impact matters more than years.
  • Genuine passion for financial markets and leveraged products (FX, CFDs, Commodities) - you can comfortably discuss macroeconomic news, technical charts, and trading strategies with sophisticated investors.
  • Natural ability to build immediate rapport over phone and email, earn trust with high-net-worth clients, and uncover latent account growth opportunities.
  • Self-motivated mindset with a history of hitting and exceeding ambitious volume, AUM, and retention targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Verbal and written communication skills; able to break down complex trading products, platform features, and account requirements clearly.
  • Active Series 3 and Series 34 licenses, or willingness to obtain them upon joining.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce (or a similar enterprise CRM) and modern sales intelligence platforms.
  • Prior experience dealing with retail Forex/CFD traders or institutional trading desks.

Your perspective matters. We encourage you to apply even if you are hesitant about meeting every single qualification. We are excited to see what you can bring to the team!
