Accountabilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise observability solutions using Dynatrace, including OneAgent, ActiveGate, Smartscape, and related monitoring components.

  • Implement end-to-end application performance monitoring (APM), distributed transaction tracing, automated dependency discovery, and infrastructure monitoring across applications, databases, APIs, and integrations.

  • Leverage Dynatrace Davis AI and analytics capabilities to identify root causes, investigate performance anomalies, troubleshoot complex incidents, and evaluate service impact across distributed systems.

  • Monitor Windows and Linux servers, virtualized environments, cloud infrastructure, and supporting services to detect performance bottlenecks, latency, failures, and resource utilization issues.

  • Configure business transaction monitoring, Real User Monitoring (RUM), and Synthetic Monitoring to improve visibility into critical business workflows, service availability, and end-user experience.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, alerting rules, anomaly detection policies, and performance reports aligned with service-level indicators (SLIs) and service-level objectives (SLOs).

  • Use Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) and platform analytics to investigate performance issues, correlate events, analyze telemetry, and improve monitoring effectiveness.

  • Establish performance baselines and assess the impact of application releases, infrastructure changes, system upgrades, and configuration modifications.

  • Implement and maintain supported monitoring integrations for software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms, external APIs, and third-party services.

  • Evaluate existing monitoring configurations and recommend improvements to observability coverage, alert accuracy, platform scalability, and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure engineers, operations specialists, and security teams to define monitoring requirements and resolve technical issues.

  • Support incident management and performance troubleshooting by correlating application, infrastructure, and service-level data to accelerate diagnosis and resolution.

  • Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, monitoring standards, and operational procedures to promote consistency and maintainability.

  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and knowledge transfer to engineering and operations teams, helping establish observability best practices across the organization.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives involving automation, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and change impact analysis.

  • Requirements:

    • At least five years of professional experience in enterprise monitoring, application performance management, or observability engineering.

    • A minimum of three years of hands-on experience deploying, configuring, administering, and optimizing Dynatrace in enterprise environments.

    • Strong expertise in Dynatrace architecture and administration, including OneAgent, ActiveGate, Smartscape, and Davis AI.

    • Proven experience implementing end-to-end monitoring, distributed tracing, automated service dependency mapping, and cross-layer performance troubleshooting.

    • Solid understanding of application architectures, APIs, databases, distributed systems, Windows and Linux infrastructure, and enterprise technology environments.

    • Practical experience creating Dynatrace dashboards, configuring alerts and anomaly detection, analyzing performance metrics, and using Dynatrace Query Language (DQL).

    • Familiarity with Real User Monitoring, Synthetic Monitoring, business transaction monitoring, and service-level observability practices.
