Senior Forward Deployed Engineer
Summary
This role involves building, deploying, and managing AI agents within enterprise client systems, focusing on integration, prompt engineering, and iteration using Python, Go, and cloud technologies.
Location: Remote (US)
Pay: $180,000–$240,000 + bonus + equity
A late-stage, venture-backed enterprise AI company needs engineers who build and run AI agents inside large customers' systems. You own integration, prompts, evals and iteration, with no handoff to someone else.
What you'll do
Build, configure and deploy AI agents for enterprise customers
Integrate with customer APIs, databases and CRMs
Tune and troubleshoot agents on live traffic
Run demos and proofs of concept, and own milestones to launch
Bring field lessons back to product and build internal tools
What you bring
3+ years in software, consulting, AI/ML or forward deployed engineering
Python and Go
Agent frameworks, function calling and RAG
One major cloud, plus CI/CD and containers
Strong communication and project management
Nice to have: hands-on prompt engineering; built agent or RAG systems
