Senior Strategic Program Manager

Remote US, United States Full-time

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Strategic Program Manager based in the United States.

Join a forward-thinking technology organization where strategic initiatives drive business growth, operational excellence, and customer success. As a Senior Strategic Program Manager, you will lead complex, enterprise-wide programs that bring together multiple teams and align organizational priorities with measurable business outcomes. This remote opportunity is ideal for a strategic leader who combines executive influence, sound judgment, and disciplined execution to create lasting business value.

Accountabilities

  • Strategic Program Leadership: Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives from initial planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with business strategy, organizational priorities, and long-term growth objectives.
  • Executive Partnership: Collaborate with senior leaders to define program objectives, establish governance structures, evaluate strategic trade-offs, and develop execution plans that balance business value, organizational capacity, and risk.
  • Program Planning and Coordination: Develop integrated execution strategies that coordinate workstreams, milestones, resource requirements, dependencies, and executive decision points across complex initiatives.
  • Governance and Decision-Making: Facilitate executive steering committees, governance meetings, and strategic planning discussions to promote accountability, transparency, and timely, well-informed decisions.
  • Risk and Dependency Management: Proactively identify organizational risks, resource constraints, competing priorities, and cross-functional dependencies, developing practical mitigation strategies before they affect delivery.

  • Program Standards and Best Practices: Establish, implement, and continuously improve program governance frameworks, delivery standards, and execution methodologies to strengthen organizational effectiveness.
  • Performance and Benefits Realization: Define success measures, monitor program outcomes, evaluate benefits realization, and assess the business impact of strategic investments to ensure initiatives deliver meaningful results.
  • Stakeholder Influence and Development: Coach and mentor program teams and business leaders, promote effective program management practices, and build alignment across stakeholders without relying on direct reporting authority.
  • Executive Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing clear analysis, practical recommendations, and structured approaches to complex business challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve enterprise planning, portfolio coordination, operational processes, and cross-functional collaboration to support sustainable growth and scalability.

Requirements

  • Organizational Change: Experience guiding teams through business transformation, process improvements, operating model changes, or other enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong judgment and critical thinking, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, assess complex situations, connect business priorities, and make practical recommendations.
  • Communication and Facilitation: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including experience facilitating executive discussions, steering committees, and cross-functional planning sessions.
