Shift Supervisor (SS)- OR Tambo

Main Purpose

Join KFC Rohloff Group as a Shift Supervisor and play a key role in leading restaurant operations during your shift. You will guide and support Team Members to deliver exceptional customer service, high-quality food, and a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Working closely with restaurant management, you will help ensure smooth daily operations, maintain operational standards, drive team performance, and contribute to achieving sales and business goals. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing people and delivering great customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring CHAMPS standards (Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product, and Speed of Service) are consistently achieved.
• Supervise, motivate, and coach team members to deliver excellent customer service, operational efficiency, and a positive guest experience.
• Allocate shift duties, monitor team performance, and provide real-time support to ensure service and productivity targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, security, and company operating procedures.
• Handle customer complaints and queries professionally, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
• Monitor product quality, stock availability, restaurant cleanliness, and equipment functionality throughout each shift.
• Support the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM) with recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives.
• Assist in controlling labour, food, and operational costs while supporting sales growth and profitability objectives.
• Manage cash handling, till reconciliations, and banking processes in accordance with company policies.
• Support staffing, scheduling, local store marketing activities, and other initiatives to achieve restaurant performance goals.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) with bachelor’s degree endorsement (University Exemption) required
• Experience: Supervisor, Shift Supervisor
• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience (fast‑food industry preferred)
