Solutions Engineer
Summary
Solutions Engineer works with sales and customers to understand needs, demonstrate solutions, and manage implementation. Responsibilities include pre-sales technical assistance, project scoping, and client advisement, utilizing SaaS and system integration knowledge.
As part of our Solutions Engineering department, you will be working closely with our Sales teams and customers to understand their needs, demonstrate the value of our innovative solutions, and ensure their successful implementation. You will play a key role in bridging technical expertise and business objectives, managing projects from initial discussions through to successful delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- To work closely with the Sales teams during pre-sales phase in order to define customer needs and to show our solutions value
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Run value driven solution presentations and demonstrations
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
- Lead and advise clients on the planning, delivery, and management of implementation of our innovative technology initiatives
- Analyse, design, and implement the best solutions for our clients
- Articulate technical challenges and how to solve them
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop comprehensive and detailed project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
- Establish and strengthen relationships with prospects and customers
- Coordinate the different steps of the process and to ensure the timing of the deliveries and their quality
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles in Engineering
- Having an understanding of complex solutions (specifically SaaS solutions)
- Engineering degree (IT specilialization is a plus)
- Good understanding of coding languages, software development principles and system integrations
- Experience translating technical requirements into practical solutions and collaborating with development teams
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Professional background within the retail industry would be appreciated
