Underground Diesel Fitter
Why keep doing FIFO in Australia when you could swap it for an underground mining career back home in New Zealand? Swap flying in and out for finishing your shift and going home. Swap living in a camp, staying in basic accommodation and sharing a bathroom for having your own home and your own space. Swap spending every night with the same people you’ve worked with all day for getting back to your family, mates and your own life after work.Swap trying to manage family issues from another country for actually being there when it matters. And you don’t have to give up your mining career to do it!
In Waihi, you can continue your career in underground mining while living in one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand. You’re working in the stunning Coromandel region, with the mine around 10 minutes from a beautiful beach and right alongside the thriving town of Waihi. It’s the sort of place where you can leave site and head into town, or even go home for lunch, rather than spending your entire swing isolated in a mining camp. The even-time roster gives you proper time to enjoy being home, while an extensive underground operation offers excellent opportunities to develop your skills and progress your mining career.
Fishing, hunting, beaches and the Coromandel are right on your doorstep. Family and friends are no longer a flight away. And when the shift ends, you actually leave work behind and go back to your own life.
So, if you’re already working underground in Australia, ask yourself: why keep doing the FIFO lifestyle any longer? Come back to New Zealand and see what an underground mining career in Waihi could look like.
