Network Engineer
AMAX is an IT infrastructure and advanced computing solutions company serving enterprise and OEM customers with customized systems, from servers and workstations to rack solutions and HPC/GPU-accelerated infrastructure. Our work sits at the intersection of hardware, infrastructure, and advanced computing, helping customers deploy systems built for demanding technical environments.
In this role, you will help strengthen the network foundation behind a cloud-like infrastructure environment while working closely with teams responsible for infrastructure, security, and operations. This is an opportunity to contribute to a hands-on engineering function with meaningful ownership, supporting both the underlying platform and the operational needs that keep the datacenter running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate the on-prem network infrastructure underpinning our cloud-like environment
- Own VLAN design, routing, firewall policy, and load balancer configuration across the datacenter
- Manage network segmentation and access control in support of security and compliance needs
- Build and maintain configuration-as-code for network devices and infrastructure using Ansible (and Terraform/Terragrunt where applicable)
- Collaborate closely with the infrastructure/DevSecOps engineer(s) on shared tooling, monitoring, and automation
- Support and monitor network health using Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager
