Founding GTM Generalist at Arch
San Francisco Bay Area · 3 days/week in person · ~3 U.S. trips/month · Full-time · 0-1 years of experience
You don’t need years of experience. You need to show that you make things happen.
This is a sales-first role with hands-on work across marketing, research, and customer launches. You’ll work directly with the CEO, get in front of some of the largest home-services operators in the country, and help build how Arch wins customers.
Why Arch
Arch is building the AI growth platform for the $800B U.S. home services economy. We help HVAC, plumbing, and electrical operators turn customer data into campaigns that generate measurable revenue.
Two shifts make this an unusually good time to build: private equity is consolidating the industry, and AI is changing what a small marketing team can accomplish. We sell to the rollups and large independents navigating both.
We’re a small San Francisco team with $6M+ in seed funding from Coatue, Floodgate, Mike Schroepfer -- the former CTO of Meta -- and the founders of Aurora Solar. Our customers include Flint Group, Any Hour Group, and ResiXperts.
Our founders are Philipp Krinner, a Stanford GSB and McKinsey alum who previously built a robotics company deploying large-scale solar farms, and Sacha Schmitz, a serial founder and YC alum.
The job - Ideal for high-IQ hustlers.
About half your week is outbound. You’ll research accounts, build target lists, write sequences, make cold calls across time zones, and follow up until you get a clear answer. You’ll own the work from identifying the right buyer to getting a qualified conversation on the calendar.
You won’t just execute outreach. You’ll help decide who we target, what we say, and what we try next.
There's no playbook to inherit. You constantly iterate and figure out what works for you.
The other half is hands-on growth work. That might mean fixing a LinkedIn campaign that stopped converting, building a target list no data vendor sells, or helping a new customer get their first campaign live by Friday. The work changes. The expectation doesn’t: understand the problem, take ownership, and finish it.
You’ll travel about three times a month. Our buyers are in Dallas, Phoenix, Charlotte, and across the country. You’ll meet them at industry conferences, on trade show floors, and at their businesses. You should enjoy walking into a room where you don’t know anyone and leaving with a reason to follow up.
You’ll hear “no” often. You’ll need to stay curious, adjust your approach, and make the next call.
You also won’t be doing this alone. Someone already does this job here and is great at it. You’ll work alongside them and directly with the CEO, learning what works and finding ways to make it better.
You will become a growth expert.
What you bring
This role is designed for someone with 0-1 years of full-time experience. We care more about what you’ve made happen than how long you’ve been employed.
You have a track record of taking initiative. You built something, sold something, organized people, competed, or took on responsibility before anyone expected you to. You can explain what you did and what came of it.
You think clearly and learn fast. You can research an unfamiliar business, spot a useful signal, and turn it into a concrete next step. When an approach stops working, you investigate rather than repeat it louder.
You write messages worth answering. You can make a busy operator understand why you’re reaching out, why it matters, and what you’re asking, in a few sentences.
You’re willing to start the conversation. On the phone, at a stranger’s booth, or in a room full of executives. You don’t have to be fearless. You do have to act, listen, and improve.
You use AI to get real work done. You already use it to research, work through messy data, draft, or automate repetitive tasks. You know how to check the output, not just generate it.
What you get and where this can go
You’ll work directly with the CEO and see how prospecting, positioning, sales, and customer delivery connect. You’ll have meaningful responsibility from the start, with room to earn more.
As you prove yourself, that could mean owning deals, building our marketing function, or eventually leading a team. The direction will depend on what you’re good at, what you deliver, and what Arch needs.
We offer competitive cash compensation, meaningful equity, and platinum health benefits. You'll build alongside an ambitious team in San Francisco.
