Job Description
- Define and maintain enterprise integration architecture standards, principles and governance frameworks.
- Design and communicate enterprise-wide integration architectures, connectors, APIs, service bus solutions and data exchange mechanisms.
- Elicit business, user and technical requirements and translate them into scalable integration architectures.
- Design integration flows, services and interoperability solutions across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
- Plan and optimize integration platform capacity, security, performance and availability.
- Analyse existing systems, applications and services and identify integration opportunities and solution options.
- Map business goals, project benefits, priorities, components and system features into architectural designs.
- Maintain and track architectural artefacts throughout the systems lifecycle.
- Contribute to system design, testing, quality assurance, change management and DevSecOps practices.
- Prepare architecture documentation, technical specifications and executive presentations.
- Lead development teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
- Select, assess and recommend technologies, tools, platforms and integration standards.
- Collect, analyse and interpret system and platform metrics.
- Optimize solutions from performance, security, scalability and quality perspectives.
- Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture repository and maintain required architectural artefacts.
Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Master's degree (EQF Level 7) or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant IT professional experience, minimum 5 of which in a similar Enterprise Integration Architect position.
- At least 2 certifications among:
- Iasa Architect CITA-A,
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert,
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals,
- TIBCO Certified Associate,
- Certified SOA Architect,
- or equivalent, internationally recognized certification.
- Experience acting as the lead architect for at least one enterprise-wide integration platform deployment.
- Expert knowledge of system integration architecture at data and API levels.
- Expert knowledge of designing enterprise integration platform connectors, integration flows and enterprise service bus solutions.
- Expert knowledge of capacity planning and security architecture for integration platforms.
- Good knowledge of integration patterns, standards and architectural models.
- Good knowledge of serverless and containerisation technologies across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Excellent technical knowledge of integration platforms such as TIBCO or MuleSoft, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), databases, application servers, middleware technologies, cloud integration patterns and Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.
- Good knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and system architecture design practices.
- Good knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.
- Extensive experience aligning application and integration architectures with business objectives.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect or equivalent solutions.
- Good knowledge of architectural standards and frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman Framework, Azure Well-Architected Framework or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of hybrid systems and application integration approaches.
- Excellent communication, documentation, leadership and problem-solving skills.
Advantageous:
- Experience modelling enterprise architectures using ArchiMate.
- Experience with the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) or other interinstitutional interoperability frameworks.
- Experience applying enterprise architecture styles, patterns and reference architectures.
- Experience with cloud-native integration services and API management platforms.
- Experience working within large-scale public sector or international organisation environments.
