Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Community Support

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to a male client in Chester County, PA (Coatesville area). This position is focused primarily on helping the client participate in activities and engage in the community while providing companionship, encouragement, and support.

The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, and enjoys working with others. Reliable transportation is a must, as the position involves supporting the client with community-based activities, appointments, errands, and other outings.

Pay: Up to $23/hour

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Provide one-on-one support to a male client in the community
• Accompany the client to errands, appointments, and community activities
• Support participation in recreational activities, hobbies, and personal interests
• Encourage independence and help the client reach personal goals
• Provide companionship and mentorship
• Assist with everyday tasks as needed
• Help the client build meaningful connections and participate in the community

What We’re Looking For:

• Reliable transportation is required
• Dependable and responsible
• Patient, compassionate, and respectful
• Comfortable working one-on-one in community settings
• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required
•  Options for mileage reimbursement

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications for Our Support Professionals:

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and development disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training MAY be available through our apprentice program)
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
