Job Description

We are the people who give possibilities purpose

BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.

Job Description

Your Mission

Be the central force keeping BD Rowa's supply chain resilient, compliant, and future-ready. You will own three critical pillars — Supplier Risk Management, Business Continuity Planning, and Product Compliance Governance — and connect the dots across Supply Chain, Procurement, Operation and external partners.

This is a role for someone who thrives on complexity, acts with authority without always having it, and turns regulatory and risk challenges into structured, actionable programs.

What You'll Drive

Product Compliance Governance

  • Track and translate upcoming regulatory requirements into supplier and material actions (RoHS, PPWR, WEEE, TSCA/TCPH, ESG, Responsible Sourcing)

  • Lead cross-functional compliance risk assessments and mitigation plans

  • Ensure timely reporting and governance across all compliance activities

Supplier Risk Management

  • Own and evolve the BD Rowa Supplier Risk Management framework

  • Lead risk assessments (supply, geopolitical, financial, regulatory) and management reporting

  • Drive mitigation actions: dual sourcing, inventory strategies, supplier development

  • Monitor external risk signals and coordinate disruption responses

Business Continuity Planning

  • Own the Supply Chain BCP program end-to-end

  • Coordinate Business Impact Analyses and continuity/recovery plans

  • Lead periodic reviews, testing, and crisis preparedness activities

What You Bring

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or related field

  • Proven experience in at least one of: Supplier Risk, Supply Chain, BCP, Product Compliance, or Regulatory — ideally in a regulated industry (MedTech, pharma, automotive, or similar)

  • Strong analytical skills with a structured, hands-on approach

  • Ability to lead cross-functional topics and influence without authority

  • Confident communicator at both management and specialist levels

  • Fluent in German and English
