Security Systems Administrator

Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Security Systems Administrator to be embedded on ByteDance’s Security Technology team.  This role is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise security systems. Experience with Lenel Access Control and Avigilon CCTV systems is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is a highly technical systems administrator with experience supporting enterprise security operations, ensuring system reliability, troubleshooting complex issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions. This is a full-time, hybrid position offering competitive benefits. Employees are required to work onsite four days per week at ByteDance’s San Jose office, with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week. Essential Job Functions Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise physical security systems, with a strong focus on Lenel Access Control and Avigilon CCTV platforms. Program and configure new security devices, system expansions, upgrades, and Day 2 operational enhancements across enterprise environments. Monitor system health, optimize system availability, and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting physical security infrastructure performance. Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, system backups, firmware updates, log reviews, and preventative maintenance activities. Manage and prioritize service requests and break-fix incidents
