Senior Security Systems Engineer

Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Systems Engineer to be embedded on ByteDance’s Security Technology team. This role is responsible for the engineering, administration, maintenance, and optimization of the server infrastructure and architecture supporting enterprise security systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting Lenel Access Control and Avigilon CCTV environments, with a focus on server administration, system upgrades, patching, system architecture, and database management. This role requires a highly technical systems engineer who can troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, perform system health assessments, support enterprise upgrades, and partner with internal technology teams and vendors to maintain secure, reliable, and scalable security systems. This is a full-time, hybrid position offering competitive benefits. Employees are required to work onsite four days per week at ByteDance’s San Jose office, with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week.
