Job Description
BryceTech is seeking an Acquisition Manager / DAG Chief to provide senior acquisition management and advisory support to Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZ). The Acquisition Manager / DAG Chief will support the Government in managing and aligning portfolio acquisition activities, manpower, funding, requirements, contracts, milestones, and key decision points across a complex portfolio of classified and unclassified space programs. The position will provide senior-level analysis, recommendations, coordination, and issue resolution in support of acquisition strategy, program execution, and leadership decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Advise and assist SSC/SZ leadership and program managers on acquisition planning, execution, and portfolio management activities
- Provide recommendations for effective alignment of portfolio acquisitions, manpower, funding, requirements, and program objectives
- Coordinate and resolve program issues and facilitate communication and integration among Government organizations, mission partners, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Identify and minimize interface and integration issues across acquisition and sustainment activities
- Maintain, update, and analyze acquisition forecasts covering current and future contract efforts, milestones, and key decision points
- Identify acquisition forecast disconnects, deficiencies, schedule risks, and other issues and provide recommendations for resolution
- Incorporate force design, operational imperatives, combatant command integrated priority lists, and future force-shaping inputs into acquisition planning and recommendations
- Support development, review, coordination, and execution of acquisition strategies and related acquisition documentation
- Support acquisition planning and requirements development across the system life cycle
- Advise Government leadership on cost, schedule, performance, and acquisition tradeoffs
- Support program management reviews, leadership engagements, and other high-visibility acquisition activities
- Prepare and coordinate acquisition briefings, reports, analyses, decision materials, and executive-level correspondence
- Support high-visibility engagements and taskers, including activities involving senior Government leadership and congressional-level engagements
- Coordinate acquisition-related activities with internal SSC organizations, mission partners, and external stakeholders
- Support integrated product teams, working groups, and other cross-functional acquisition forums
- Assist with source-selection activities that are appropriate for contractor support, including development of acquisition documentation, source-selection plans, acquisition strategies, and proposal evaluation materials
- Support acquisition and sustainment activities throughout the program life cycle, including planning, development, execution, transition, and sustainment
- Provide timely acquisition analysis, recommendations, briefings, reports, and other products in support of Government decision-making
Qualifications
- Active DoW Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)
- MA/MS degree from an accredited college or university
- 20 years of relevant experience, including significant experience supporting space programs
- PMT 4010 Certificate (or predecessor course), demonstrating qualification to support DoD ACAT I and II acquisition programs
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex DoD acquisition programs, preferably ACAT I and II programs within the space domain
- Proficiency with DoD acquisition, cost, requirements, and reporting systems, including Cost and Requirements System (C&RS), MAR reporting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Task Management Tool (TMT)
- Experience supporting acquisition planning, program execution, requirements development, and coordination of complex Government programs
- Experience integrating cost, schedule, performance, funding, contracting, and requirements information to support acquisition decisions
- Experience developing and reviewing acquisition strategies, program documentation, briefings, reports, and executive-level decision materials
- Experience coordinating across Government organizations, contractors, and mission partners to identify issues, assess impacts, develop recommendations, and coordinate resolution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior Government leadership
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting classified space acquisition programs
