Description:

Clarity Innovations’ facilities and critical-infrastructure portfolio includes commercial offices, controlled and classified spaces, server rooms, and other mission-supporting infrastructure. The Director of Facilities will lead Clarity’s Facilities function and be accountable for ensuring these environments are safe, well-maintained, operationally ready, and positioned to support the company’s evolving business and mission needs.

Position Overview:

The Director of Facilities will manage the operation, maintenance, improvement, and expansion of Clarity-owned, leased, and subleased facilities. This role will lead Clarity’s Facilities team, including direct oversight and development of site-based Office Managers, and establish consistent standards, processes, and accountability across locations.

The role will own day-to-day facilities operations as well as the Facilities workstream for real-estate expansion, construction, secure spaces, and critical-infrastructure projects. The Director of Facilities will work closely with Security, IT (“OneIT”), Finance, program and portfolio leadership, landlords, contractors, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into executable plans and drive them through operational completion.

This role requires a practical, execution-oriented leader who can manage through a combination of internal staff, vendors, landlords, and cross-functional partners while maintaining clear accountability for Facilities outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Clarity’s Facilities function, including oversight and development of Office Managers, and ensure the day-to-day maintenance, safety, functionality, and operational readiness of all Clarity facilities through internal staff, vendors, landlords, and other supporting resources
  • Lead Facilities planning and project execution for corporate offices, new leased space, data centers, server rooms, secure facilities, renovations, relocations, and other infrastructure projects, coordinating contractors, architects, engineers, Security, OneIT, and other stakeholders from initial requirements through operational readiness and closeout
  • Manage Facilities financial and vendor performance, including operating and capital budgets, forecasts, cost plans, vendor relationships, contracts, and, in coordination with Finance, business cases and decision materials for real-estate and infrastructure investments
  • Own space and capacity planning, including occupancy, space utilization, site capacity, and the evaluation and operational onboarding of new or expanded facilities
  • Partner with OneIT on server-room, data-center, and other critical-infrastructure requirements, with OneIT owning technical and system requirements and Facilities owning the physical infrastructure necessary to support those environments, including electrical distribution, UPS, cooling, environmental conditions, physical space, and related building systems
  • Partner with Corporate Security and OneIT on secure and classified environments, with Security and OneIT retaining ownership of applicable security and technical requirements and Facilities owning the Facilities workstream, including construction, maintenance, modification, inspection support, and the physical infrastructure supporting access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, and related systems
  • Establish and maintain effective Facilities operating practices, including SOPs, preventive-maintenance programs, asset inventories, lifecycle plans, drawings, warranties, emergency and outage plans, and documentation required for audits, inspections, accreditation activities, operational continuity, and effective handoffs
  • Maintain clear visibility and accountability across the Facilities portfolio, including prioritized projects and maintenance activities, owners, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies, and drive issues and projects through resolution and operational completion
  • Ensure Facilities operations comply with applicable local, state, federal, safety, and security requirements.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of facilities management experience, including responsibility for complex, multi-site operating environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction, renovation, infrastructure, or real-estate projects, including secure and classified facilities
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, forecasts, business cases, vendors, contracts, and project financials
  • Working knowledge of classified-facility and physical-security requirements, including ICD-705 and NISPOM, and experience supporting accreditation, inspection, or remediation activities
  • Working knowledge of server-room, data-center, and critical-facilities infrastructure, including electrical distribution, HVAC/cooling, UPS systems, environmental monitoring, and related building systems
  • Strong project and construction-management fundamentals, including scopes of work, contractor coordination, schedules, change orders, punch lists, and project closeout
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, internal stakeholders, government representatives, contractors, and vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Security, Business Management, or related field.
  • CFM, FMP, PMP, or a related facilities, construction, or project-management certification
  • Experience supporting the DoD or cleared defense industry executing the NISP.
  • Experience supporting multi-site real-estate expansion, data-center, or other critical-infrastructure projects.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
