The Senior Manager, Marketing (Peer-to-Peer Education) is a strategic and content-focused marketing role within Thought Leader Programming (TLP) responsible for shaping and developing effective educational and promotional content for use in peer-to-peer education. Working closely with TLP leadership, this individual will translate marketing strategy, scientific evidence, clinical insights, and audience needs into clear, engaging content to achieve brand objectives.
The position requires a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive; the individual is expected to demonstrate a growth mindset, continuously identifying opportunities to enhance strategy, execution, and organizational impact.
Responsibilities:
Content Strategy, Development & Execution
- Develop, review, and manage educational and promotional materials to ensure impactful peer-to-peer engagements
- Drive the creation of peer-to-peer educational content, including slide decks, roundtable guides, patient cases, and other supplementary assets
- Identify content gaps and opportunities to evolve peer-to-peer education in alignment with audience needs and brand objectives
- Partner with faculty and KOLs throughout the content development process, including content reviews and incorporation of expert feedback
- Ensure content is scientifically accurate, strategically aligned and appropriate for the intended audience
- Support field training with the rollout and implementation of new and updated content
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure teams understand the intent, appropriate use, and audience fit of TLP content
- Partner with Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs), Speaker Bureau, and conference teams to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across all engagement channels
Compliance & Operational Management
- Apply a strong working knowledge of the pharmaceutical promotional regulatory environment to support compliant content development and execution
- Manage content through the promotional review and approval process, including Veeva submissions, Commercial Review Team (CRT) review, timelines, approvals, reapprovals, and expirations
- Coordinate content-related operational requirements
- Manage multiple content initiatives simultaneously, proactively identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities to improve efficiency
- Oversee agency partners and other external vendors to ensure quality, timeliness, budget management, and delivery against project objectives
Additional Expectations
- Travel as needed to support Speaker Bureau training, steering committees, conferences, KOL engagements, and other TLP initiatives
- Demonstrate adaptability, ownership, strong collaboration, and a continuous learning mindset
- Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen TLP content capabilities, simplify processes, and improve execution
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
- Demonstrate expert-level command of traditional and non-traditional marketing channels including print and digital
- Ability to collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong scientific/medical aptitude and demonstrated ability to translate complex clinical information into clear, audience-appropriate content
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in scientific or medical communications is a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; master's degree preferred
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience
- 4–5 years of experience in brand management, endocrinology and/or orphan drug experience a plus
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $154,980 – $205,110; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
