QA Software (Load & Performance) Test Engineer

We are looking for a “Load and Performance Engineer” to design, execute, analyze, and report performance tests for the ZONOS ecosystem with it’s modules/Connectors related to MDM & HES, APIs, streaming services, databases, and integration components.
The engineer will define realistic load profiles, simulate production-like traffic, identify bottlenecks, measure system capacity, and provide performance recommendations before release or customer deployment.

What is the role about?

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute load, stress, scalability, spike, and failover performance tests for HES/MDM product
Create realistic test scenarios covering:

• ZONOS API and Southbound API
• VEE processing
• MDUS / data ingestion flows
• Device events, alarms, meter reads, topology, and profile data
• Kafka/streaming pipelines
• Database-heavy operations
• ZCP user workflows where relevant

Define performance KPIs such as:

• response time
• throughput
• transactions per second
• message ingestion rate
• processing latency
• CPU/memory usage
• database load
• Kafka lag
• error rate
• queue depth

Maintain load test scripts using tools such as “JMeter, k6, Simulator and Mock serve”
