Overview
DreamHost is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing revenue trends, forecasting future revenues, and providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles and data analysis, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience building and using AI tools to automate financial workflows. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with various teams, including product, marketing, and accounting, to ensure accurate revenue tracking and forecasting.
Responsibilities
Revenue Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of revenue trends by product, region, and market segment.
AI-Enabled Finance Workflows: Design, build, and maintain reusable AI agent skills that automate recurring finance work such as revenue analysis, forecasting, variance commentary, reporting, and international pricing research. Own the accuracy of AI-generated outputs through validation, documentation, and human review before results reach stakeholders.
Forecasting: Develop revenue forecasts and provide variance analysis to compare actual performance against projections.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial and revenue reports to senior management.
Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to assess the financial health of the organization.
Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and accounting teams to align revenue-related processes and goals.
Pricing Strategies: Assist in the development and assessment of pricing strategies to optimize revenue, with a focus on international markets.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Track and report on KPIs related to revenue generation.
Market Research: Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and inform pricing strategies.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue analysis, financial analysis, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, financial modeling, data analysis tools, and SQL database querying.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Agentic AI Skills: Demonstrated experience creating and using AI agent skills or workflows (e.g., Claude Skills, custom GPTs, Copilot agents) to automate multi-step financial tasks. Ability to explain what has been built, how it has been tested, and what controls have been put in place.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience with BI Tools: Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Scripting: Familiarity with Python or similar for data work and automation.
Understanding of GAAP: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
SaaS Metrics: Experience with subscription revenue models and metrics.
Salary: $110,000 - $125,000/year
