Travel Partnerships and Advertising helps partners, including hotels, vacation rentals, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply and our leading advertising and travel media network.
As part of the Vrbo team in Dublin, you will grow our vacation rental marketplace across Italy and Southern Europe. You will focus on acquiring new property groups, building trusted partnerships, and creating value for property owners, travelers, and Vrbo.
In this role, you will:
- Acquire new property groups across Italy and Southern Europe.
- Manage opportunities through the sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and contract closure.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities to achieve quarterly revenue and acquisition targets.
- Develop territory strategies by identifying, prioritizing, and quantifying high-value business opportunities.
- Present Vrbo’s products, services, and value proposition to senior decision-makers.
- Consult with prospective partners to understand their goals and recommend solutions that support their business needs.
- Build long-term relationships with property groups, owners, and key stakeholders.
- Use market, customer, and sales data to assess opportunities and inform commercial decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and close complex partnership opportunities.
- Travel to trade fairs, industry events, and other relationship-building activities (webinars) to generate leads and strengthen market presence.
- Develop working knowledge of contract terms, negotiation processes, products, technology, competitors, and relevant market trends.
Experience and Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account management, or a related commercial discipline.
- Proficiency in English and Italian, with the ability to communicate nuanced information effectively in both languages.
- Proficiency in consultative selling, negotiation, presenting proposals, and influencing decision-makers.
- Experience using analytical information to identify opportunities and support business decisions.
- Willingness and ability to travel to relevant industry events and partner meetings.
- Ability to work collaboratively, seek guidance when needed, and build consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience acquiring or developing partnerships with multi-property groups.
- Experience working with the Italian market or other Southern European markets.
- Experience in travel, hospitality, technology, marketplaces, or digital platforms.
- Knowledge of vacation rentals, online travel, distribution, or partner acquisition.
- Ability to troubleshoot or problem solve issues partners are facing and collaborate with internal teams to find best possible solutions
- Additional European language skills.
- Knowledge of SalesForce or other CRM systems and Tableau or other BI platforms
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
