Job Description
As the Marketing Intern, you will gain first-hand experience supporting key Master Lock marketing initiatives, including product launches, shows and events, channel marketing, digital and social media. You will have direct contact with all aspects of the business from sales, engineering and product management to customers, providing the opportunity to learn many different aspects of marketing.
- Support the execution of marketing programs and campaigns across brand, channel, and digital touchpoints, from planning through post-launch recap.
- Draft and edit copy for a range of media — web pages, product literature, email, social posts, and internal communications.
- Assist with trade shows, sales meetings, and customer events, including materials prep, logistics coordination, and on-site support.
- Conduct competitive, category, and consumer research, and summarize findings into clear takeaways for the marketing team.
- Partner cross-functionally with sales, product management, and creative teams to keep projects on schedule and on brief.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program focusing on sales, marketing, or related field
- Should possess knowledge of Microsoft Products including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Willingness to learn
- Creative, flexible and deadline oriented with a basic understanding of project management (planning, organizing, priority setting).
- Must be able to function in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong English & grammar skills
- Great organization skills
- Must show extreme responsibility
This opportunity is for a part-time fall and spring and full-time summer internship and could potentially be extended depending on business needs and performance.
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $33,300 USD - $45,760 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
