Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a S/4HANA – Coupa Integration Architect (Indirect Procurement) with proven experience delivering global integrations between Coupa and SAP S/4HANA for complex organisations, from design through cutover and Hypercare. The role requires strong expertise in API engineering, SAP integration artefacts, Coupa integration configuration, and procurement processes across P2P and AP.
Work closely with Business and IT stakeholders, upstream and downstream products, and third-party providers to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable integration solutions. Apply an agile, outcomes-focused approach while managing complex integration work efforts, dependencies, and environment strategies across multiple delivery waves.
What you will do:
- Design and deliver global integrations between Coupa and SAP S/4HANA for complex organisations, from design through cutover and Hypercare.
- Build and manage APIs using REST/JSON and OData, including schema design, error handling, and performance tuning.
- Configure and manage Coupa integrations covering supplier and ERP integrations, master data synchronisation, COA/segments, approvals, tax, receiving, invoicing, and payment status updates.
- Apply SAP S/4HANA Procurement/MM and FI-AP objects and processes, including vendors/business partners, purchasing organisations, POs, service entry sheets, GRs, invoices, GL/CC/WBS, and tax determination.
- Design and support integration solutions using platforms such as SAP Integration Suite/CPI, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Azure Integration Services.
- Implement integration security, monitoring, observability, and CI/CD practices across middleware platforms.
- Manage API specifications using OpenAPI/Swagger and perform API testing with Postman.
- Configure and support SAP integration artefacts, including IDoc types for vendors, POs, GRs, and invoices, as well as BAPI/RFC, ALE, and OData services.
- Configure Coupa master data imports and exports, suppliers, COA, transactional flows, SFTP/API integrations, and file formats.
- Implement security controls using OAuth2, mTLS, certificates, key management, and data protection practices.
- Establish monitoring and observability using CPI/MuleSoft dashboards, Splunk, App Insights, alerting, and trace correlation.
- Implement CI/CD practices for integrations using Git, branching, versioning, and automated deployment.
- Plan and manage large integration work efforts, dependencies, and environment strategies across multiple delivery waves.
- Coordinate with upstream and downstream products, including MDG and ServiceNow, and third-party providers.
- Manage stakeholder discussions and communicate complex integration concepts to cross-functional Business and IT audiences.
- Support project delivery using tools and ALM platforms such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, and SolMan.
- Apply test automation practices for integration interfaces.
- Manage integration impacts across both Indirect and Direct Procurement process flows, P2P, and AP.
- Drive integration outcomes in ambiguous environments while challenging the status quo and maintaining a focus on delivery quality.
