About Technology.
Technology at Huge is powered by a global practice of creative technologists—spanning Engineers, QA specialists, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and ML Architects—we look beyond standard patterns to build resilient, enterprise-grade systems. We combine deep engineering rigor with innovation at the edge of agentic AI, modern data stacks, and cloud infrastructure. We don't wait for industry standards to set themselves; we engineer the intelligent systems that turn audacious strategic vision into production-ready reality.
The role.
Huge is looking for a Senior UI Engineer to join our Technology practice in Colombia. You’ll build high-performance web experiences for global clients, working closely with design, strategy, and QA, and helping raise the bar for the engineers around you.
What you'll be doing.
- Build scalable, highly interactive web applications on React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Architect frontend experiences on Headless CMS platforms (Contentstack), designing flexible content models and reusable components that editors can compose with confidence.
- Use agentic AI workflows to speed up component generation, refactoring, and delivery, and help shape how the team adopts these tools.
- Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect code, bringing them to life with smooth, responsive animation that never compromises performance.
- Own front-end quality: ship accessible, standards-compliant, cross-device experiences that meet performance targets.
- Partner with UX, visual design, QA, and strategy teams to evaluate feasibility and refine requirements.
- Drive engineering rigor through Spec-Driven Development, clear documentation, and code reviews in a fast-moving agile environment.
- Mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and support global client teams on post-launch enhancements.
What we'd like to see.
- 5+ years building large-scale web products in agile, cross-disciplinary teams.
- Deep expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, plus modern CSS and preprocessor solutions.
- A track record of using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in day-to-day UI work, with a clear sense of where they add value and where they don’t.
- Experience delivering WCAG-conformant interfaces and improving Core Web Vitals through tools like Lighthouse.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and advanced English proficiency (C1+).
Nice to have.
- Hands-on experience with Contentstack or another headless CMS.
- A portfolio of frontend animation and motion design work.
