Attorney, LATAM Funds and Distribution - Vice President
About the Role
iCapital is seeking a Vice President to join the Legal team with a primary focus on Latin American markets and distribution. This role will support iCapital’s offering of investment products across both U.S. and Latin American jurisdictions, advising on complex cross-border distribution matters, Latin American investment product offering rules, and international regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in U.S. and non-U.S. broker-dealer distribution issues, U.S. and Latin American securities regulations for private funds, and preferably Spanish language proficiency to effectively serve our growing Latin American client base. This position requires navigating the intersection of U.S. securities laws and Latin American regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions including Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and other key markets in the region.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate agreements with Latin American distribution agents ensuring compliance with both U.S. and local market regulations.
- Advise on the legal implications of offering new and existing products and services, including private funds, exchange traded notes and local Latin American structures.
