Global QHSE Manager
Global QHSE Manager
Intero Integrity Services — Tricht, the Netherlands (Global role)
How do you turn one consistent quality and safety standard into reality across 650 people and 20 offices on three continents? That's the challenge waiting for Intero's new Global QHSE Manager.
What we do
Intero Integrity Services keeps critical infrastructure in the petro-chemical industry safe, compliant and running efficiently. We inspect pipelines and industrial installations, we build our own high-tech equipment and software to do it, and we support operators with maintenance and commissioning services that reduce risk and downtime. In practice: our people help clients use natural resources safely, responsibly and efficiently. Our own technology is often what makes that possible.
About the role
This is a newly created, high-impact position at the heart of Intero's next growth phase. As we expand into new regions and add new services, through in-house technology and strategic acquisitions, we need one clear, consistent standard for quality, health, safety and environmental performance across every office. That's what this role is built to deliver.
You'll take ownership of Intero's long-term QHSE strategy, build a genuine global safety and quality culture, and provide functional leadership to our regional QHSE teams. You report directly to the CEO, and you'll work closely with senior leaders, internal teams and key clients to make sure QHSE and ESG initiatives land. Not just on paper, but in the way people work day to day.
Team & working environment
You won't be starting from scratch: Intero already has a QHSE team and an interim QHSE Manager has laid out the broad strategic lines; you'll pick up from there and shape where it goes next. It's an informal team that leans heavily on collaboration, and this is very much a hands-on leadership role: you set direction, but you're in the work alongside your team, not steering from a distance.
What you'll be responsible for
● Developing, implementing and safeguarding Intero's QHSE strategy, policies, systems and improvement programs.
● Tracking quality KPIs, leading trend analyses and audits, and driving corrective actions.
● Identifying and managing key quality, HSE and ESG risks, including structural improvement measures.
● Leading quality improvement projects that strengthen Intero's reputation with clients.
● Coaching and developing the QHSE team and building quality awareness across the wider organization.
● Leading incident and non-conformance investigations through to root-cause resolution.
● Acting as an active member of the ESG committee and overseeing environmental compliance and reporting.
● Working cross-functionally with sales, engineering, operations, finance and HR to embed QHSE into every part of the business.
Your profile
Must-haves:
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in quality management, safety engineering, sustainability or a related engineering field.
● At least 8 years of experience in QHSE management, including building and implementing quality management systems and HSE/ESG programs.
● Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, plus ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
● Experience working in, and influencing, a global organization, including leading without direct authority.
● Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
Nice-to-haves:
● Experience in the energy or petrochemical industry.
● Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%).
Why join Intero
● A genuinely global operation with offices across Europe, the Middle East and the Americas in a challenging industry, with plenty still to build and organize the way you think it should be done.
● The chance to grow the QHSE Manager role into its full potential and drive the further professionalization of QHSE across Intero. The mandate is yours to shape.
● A key leadership position with direct visibility at executive level.
● A pragmatic, no-nonsense culture focused on getting results.
● Proven career growth opportunities within the organization.
Employment conditions
● Competitive salary ranging from €7,412.32 to €9,542.33 gross per month, depending on experience, plus holiday allowance.
● Performance-based bonus (approximately one month's salary).
● Permanent, full-time contract (40 hours per week), with 25 vacation days.
● Hybrid working options.
