About the role

We are seeking a motivated Transformation Business Analyst to join our team and contribute to diverse projects spanning strategy, technology, operations, and process improvement. This role sits at the intersection of business understanding and AI/tech enabled product development: you will work to understand what the business is trying to achieve and help translate that understanding into direction that a technology team can act on to build. It is a role built around working closely and iteratively with technology teams, in an environment that moves quickly and puts data at the center of decision making. The role calls for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity and pace, and who can engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Strategic analysis and problem solving

• Support senior analysts in evaluating business opportunities and market expansion initiatives

• Assist in developing recommendations by conducting research, gathering data, and analyzing industry trends

• Help identify risks, opportunities, and potential solutions through structured problem solving approaches

• Translate business outcomes and priorities into problem framing that technology and data teams can act on

• Participate in client meetings and contribute to presentation development, including engaging directly with senior stakeholders

Process analysis and problem resolution

• Identify and analyze business pain points through stakeholder interviews, process observation, and data analysis

• Support root cause analysis initiatives using structured methodologies to uncover underlying issues

• Assist in designing process improvements and solutions that address identified problems

• Help develop workflows and procedures that streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies

• Support the implementation of new processes and monitor their effectiveness

• Document current state processes and future state direction, keeping documentation lean and focused on decisions rather than exhaustive specification

Bridging business and technology for AI/tech enabled products

• Work alongside technology and data teams to shape what a tech solution should do, grounded in a clear understanding of the business problem

• Translate business context and outcomes into direction that technical teams can use to scope and build solutions, and translate technical possibilities and constraints back to business stakeholders

• Support technology implementations by clarifying business intent and priorities

• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance activities

• Support process improvement initiatives and workflow optimization projects

• Work in an iterative, fast paced manner, adjusting direction as understanding of the problem and the data evolves

Project coordination and delivery

• Track project milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators

• Assist in managing project documentation and maintaining organized records

• Help coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate communication between stakeholders, including senior stakeholders

Data analysis and reporting

• Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights

• Create reports and dashboards to support decision making

• Support the development of business cases and analytical frameworks

• Assist in developing metrics and KPIs for business performance measurement

• Use data as a starting point for shaping what a tech solution should address, not only as a reporting output

Business analysis tools and techniques

• Apply foundational BA techniques including stakeholder analysis, requirements elicitation, and gap analysis

• Utilize process modeling tools (process flows, swimlane diagrams, value stream mapping)

• Support data modeling and documentation using techniques such as entity relationship diagrams

• Assist with business rules analysis and decision modeling

• Apply problem solving frameworks including root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams)

• Support risk analysis and impact assessment methodologies

• Use prioritization techniques (MoSCoW, Kano model) for requirements and solution evaluation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related analytical field

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders

• Comfort operating with ambiguity and a fast pace, and adjusting direction as new information emerges

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks

• Demonstrated project management capabilities through internships, coursework, or extracurricular activities

• Understanding of fundamental business analysis concepts and techniques

Preferred qualifications

• A genuine interest in and working understanding of how data and AI can be applied to business problems

• Comfort with data (for example SQL, Tableau, Power BI) as a way of understanding a business problem, rather than as a technical specialization

• Previous internship experience in consulting, strategy, or business analysis

• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)

• Knowledge of business process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)

• Understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma basics)

• Exposure to requirements management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar)

• Basic understanding of how AI or data driven products get scoped and evaluated
