Work Across the Full Hatchery Process

At The Kingfish Company, our hatchery is where production begins. As a Hatchery Technician I, you will play a key role in the early life cycle of our Yellowtail Kingfish. You will perform hands-on work across broodstock care, egg handling, live feed production, and juvenile fish rearing. This is a practical and varied position, ideal for someone who enjoys working with living systems, values teamwork, and pays close attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

• Feed and care for broodstock

• Perform egg collection and disinfection

• Culture live feed (Artemia)

• Support larval and juvenile fish production

• Carry out grading, movement, and handling of fish

• Clean and prepare tanks, rooms, and equipment

• Maintain strict hygiene and biosecurity standards

• Record production data (egg counts, fish numbers, water parameters)

• Observe and report fish health and performance

• Assist supervisors with daily hatchery operations
