The Role
Joining our global Corporate Finance team, the Analyst will be based in our Los Angeles office and play an active role in Kobalt’s deal processes. Working closely with A&R, senior management and Legal, the team provides financial analysis to support the signing of artists and songwriters, catalogue acquisitions and broader financial and strategic analysis.
You’ll be responsible for analysing potential investments, building and managing financial models, evaluating streaming and royalty data, and developing recommendations to support deal decisions. This role requires strong financial and analytical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple live deals and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the A&R team to analyse new signing opportunities and provide financial insight to support deal negotiations.
- Build and manage financial models in Excel to evaluate musical assets, analysing streaming and royalty data and forecasting future cash flows to inform valuations and potential offers.
