Design Engineer – Peripherals: Cables & Interfaces (Human)
Your mission & challenges
As a Design Engineer for peripherals, you're responsible for cable harnesses, feedthroughs, connectors, and mechanical interfaces across our robotic systems. Your goal: solutions that keep performing reliably in moving axes under bend-cycle and torsion loads.
Your main tasks include:
Design and routing of cable harnesses in moving robot axes
Selection and specification of cables, connectors, and feedthroughs
Design of mechanical interfaces (mounting flanges, covers, seals)
Ensuring lifetime reliability (bend cycles, torsion) through testing and supplier coordination
Creating drawings and manufacturing documentation for the peripherals
Your Profile
Degree or technician qualification in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar
Experience in cable harness or peripheral design (robotics/automotive a plus)
Knowledge of cable carrier/torsion applications and connector systems
